When joining a company on goLance, contractors may be classified as either Exclusive or Non-Exclusive. This determines how you can work on the platform and how payments are handled.
Exclusive Contractor
An Exclusive Contractor works only with the company they are associated with on goLance.
What this means:
- You cannot work independently for other companies on goLance
- Your profile, photos, and job proposals will display the company’s branding
- All payments earned through the platform will be sent directly to the company
This setup is commonly used when a company wants contractors to represent their brand exclusively.
Non-Exclusive Contractor
A Non-Exclusive Contractor can work both with a company and independently on goLance.
What this means:
- You can continue working for yourself as an independent freelancer
- You can also work under one or more companies
- Contracts associated with the company will be paid to the company
- Independent contracts that are not associated with the company will be paid directly to you
This setup provides more flexibility for freelancers who want to maintain their own independent work while also collaborating with companies.
