Hourly Contracts – More Control, More Clarity
We've upgraded the Hourly Contracts experience to give you deeper visibility into how contractors spend their time — without extra follow-ups or guesswork.
The biggest change is in the Work Diary, where you now have three distinct ways to review time. Each view is designed for a specific type of control, so you can focus on what matters most in the moment.
The Biggest Update: Work Diary
Reviewing hourly work isn't one-size-fits-all. Sometimes you want to see screenshots. Sometimes you want to analyze numbers. Sometimes you just need to understand timing.
Now you can choose the Work Diary to include three different views:
- Day View – Visual control
- Snapshots List View – Statistics control
- Calendar View – Time control
1. Day View – Visual Control
When you want to understand what the contractor was doing.
Day View allows you to:
- Review screenshots in chronological order
- Follow the flow of the workday
- Notice repeating or identical screenshots
- Identify unusual visual patterns
2. Snapshots List View – Statistics Control
When you want to focus on numbers and behavioral patterns.
Snapshots List View allows you to:
- Clearly see activity levels
- Review keystrokes and mouse clicks per segment
- Easily spot time periods with unusually high keystroke or mouse click counts
- Compare productivity blocks in a structured list
This view is especially helpful when you want to quickly validate context or investigate suspicious activity patterns.
3. Calendar View – Time Control
When you want to understand when work happened.
Calendar View allows you to:
- See work start times
- Identify breaks during the day
- Review meeting blocks
- Understand overall time distribution across the week
Enhanced Weekly Summary
We've also improved the Weekly Summary to provide better task visibility across the week.
You can now:
- View a clear day-by-day breakdown
- See which tasks were worked on
- Open a task directly
- Expand the widget to reveal more detailed information
This reduces friction and gives you structured insight in one place.
When to Use Each View
If you're asking:
- "What exactly were they doing?" → Day View
- "Do these activity numbers look realistic?" → Snapshots List View
- "When did they start, and were there long breaks?" → Calendar View
You now have the flexibility to review time from multiple perspectives — depending on what you need to verify.
Why This Matters
Managing hourly contractors shouldn't require constant follow-ups. With clearer structure, early-released improvements, and three distinct Work Diary perspectives, you can:
- Detect unusual patterns faster
- Understand time allocation more clearly
- Reduce unnecessary back-and-forth
- Make confident decisions with better context
More clarity. Less chasing. Better alignment.
